Hi, hello, I’m Liz and I’m a huge fan of book festivals. I went to AJC Decatur Book Festival (DBF) last year as well as YALLFest. Holy slamcow! If it weren’t for DBF, I wouldn’t have met such lovely people as Alli from Magnet4Books, Stacey from PageTurnersBlog, Sasha from Sash&Em, Lori from PureImagination, Elizabeth Eulberg, Lauren Myracle, Victoria Schwab and so many more awesome people.
This year’s AJC DBF is happening August 31 – September 2, Labor Day weekend.
I have been waiting for the list of AJC Decatur Book Festival authors for months. Listed below are the authors I’m most excited to be meeting:
- Meg Cabot
- Kami Garcia
- Maureen Johnson
- Jessica Khoury
- David Levithan
- Sarah J. Maas
- Erin Morgenstern
- Kathy Reichs - Bones. Yes, that Bones.
- Margaret Stohl
Edit: I don’t think the linked list is the full and final list, so I’ll be updating this post as updates arise.
If you live in the Atlanta area or heck, if you’re from the south eastern U.S., I URGE you to show your face at DBF! It’s loads of fun and you get to meet all sorts of amazing people.
Last year, they had panels for groups of authors. I’m interested in mostly Young Adult lit, and they had a specific day full of YA authors.
If you have any questions, leave them below or email me!
Also, if you have some stories from a book festival or meeting an author, leave those below! I love hearing bookish stories.
