New Release Tuesday is a show I host on This Week in YA. Every week, I talk about new releases in the Young Adult genre. It’s a lot of fun, so I thought I’d start posting it over here to share with y’all! I link each book to their Goodreads page so you can easily add them to your To Be Read shelves!
July 31 Book Releases
No Boyz Allowed by Ni-Ni Simone

She also has to deal with hiding her romance with Ny’eem because her group of friends have a “no boyz allowed” to come between their friendship rule. Of course she can’t keep it a secret for long. Forbidden romances are always fun!

Hide and Seek (The Lying Game #4) by Sara Shepard
Dead girl who has a twin sister looking to solve her murder. Turns out, her parents are hiding some important information that may be the reason why she’s dead. Sounds kind of fun and mysterious!
August 1 Book Releases
A Templar’s Destiny (The Book of Tormod #3) by Kat Black
I really love the cover of this book! Also, this is a historical fantasy triology full of castles and journeys and a princess. Sounds like the makings of a great adventure!
The Invisible World by Suzanne Weyn
Oh you know. Young girl finds out she has magical abilities and her father is a scientist hoping to research them. Of course, on their way to america to do more research, Sarah gets caught and sent to Salem, Mass.
Casey Quinn is a farm girl wishing to be a big time ballet dancer in Manhattan! She soon comes in contact with an amazing choreographer, Miss Martha, who helps Casey train. And this book is set in 1959 which gives the book an even more fun twist!
No Way Out (Bluford High #14) by Peggy Kern
About a kid named Harold Davis who choses to work with a local drug dealer in order to pay for his grandmother’s medical bills. This was originally published by Townsend Press but is now being published by Scholastic.
August 2 Book Releases
This is said to be Hatchet meets Lost in this tale about a girl who is involved in a plane wreck while on her way home from a mental hospital. She and a boy named Paul are the only survivors on this freakin snowed up mountain. I’m assuming there are cuddle times but also FIGHTING FOR THEIR LIIIIIVES.
The Waiting Sky by Lara Zielin
Another GORGEOUS cover featuring a girl holding a Mason jar full of TORNADO! AHHH! Aunty Em, Aunty Em! Basically, her mom is an alcoholic who one day drives drunk, nearly killing Jane and her best friend. She then turns to her brother who invites her to chase tornadoes with him and his buddies. Seems to be a good self-discovery read as well as rather thrilling.
