I enjoy discovering new music. Back in the MySpace days, I’d look through my favorite bands’ Top Friends and go into the depths of the internet music community. And because Spotify has “Related Artists” I can do the same… Similar… Eh? I was looking at Gungor‘s music and found JJ Heller and then Audrey Assad.
YES, yes, she is a Christian singer, but she has such a BEAUTIFUL voice as well as a great talent for songwriting. Now, I listen to quite a bit of Christian music. Sometimes it can be so sickening when the lyrics to 90% of the songs sound exactly the same. I get it, Jesus paid it all, but c’mon y’all. So, that’s why I love songwriters like Audrey Assad.
Also, her album cover makes her look like an Ingrid Michaelson look-alike!

I do the same search into the depths of the music industry but in Youtube. Once you hit a really obscure song you are in for a range of obscure but great! Thanks for sharing and she does have a brilliant voice!
